Paul worked for Standard Lumber Company, LeDuc Oil, and Aero Gas before starting his own business, Border Texaco, along with his partner Dick Hopfner, in 1958. He loved hunting with his cousin Herb Hardwig, son-in-law Duane Oveson, and fishing at the family cabin on Rainy Lake. He enjoyed traveling, visiting cities in Europe, Asia, Mexico and South America. Paul was a member of First Baptist Church for many years and also Northwoods Bible Church in Ray, serving as trustee and usher in both churches. He was a great story teller and his grandchildren loved to hear about the antics of his youth. |
